Evropski poslanec in vodja Stranke za neodvisnost Velike Britanije, Nigel Farage je eden redkih evropskih poslancev, ki se zavzemajo za vzpostavitev demokratičnih načel in suverenosti držav znotraj Evropske Unije. Farage se prav tako zavzema za vzpostavitev t.i. avstrijskega gospodarskega modela, katerega verjetno najbolj znani zagovornik je bil Ludwig von Mises po katerem se danes tudi imenuje raziskovalno-izobraževalni inštitut v ZDA – Ludwig von Mises Institute.
