Jernej Lukman

Asset Manager at BG & Partner AG and founder of the Slovenian online portal Insajder.si.

Jernej has been researching the functioning and history of financial markets since 2005. He made his first serious investment steps by taking out student loans, which he used to invest in physical silver near its lowest values after the 2008 crash.

The strong growth of precious metals between 2008 and 2011, and the profit he generated, were redirected towards establishing the online portal Insajder.si, through which he continues to educate his readers about the functioning of financial markets and current opportunities.

After successfully passing the stockbroker exam in 2013, Jernej now works as an independent asset manager at the Liechtenstein-based company BG & Partner AG, which provides him with all the required licenses for managing clients' financial instruments and is notified for operations in Slovenia through the Securities Market Agency.

Špela Dugar

Independent Actuary (graduated financial mathematician, M.Sc. Quantitative Finance and Actuarial Science)

A financial mathematician who finds joy and challenge in developing model solutions for financial movements and calculating and managing financial investment risks. The application of mathematics in finance is her greatest passion.

Špela first encountered the functioning and research of financial markets during her studies in Financial Mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. She invested her first savings while writing her diploma thesis titled "Modeling the Stock Market Bubble (Bitcoin)," where she used mathematical models to track the price movements of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin and correctly predicted its burst a few days before it occurred. She began investing her initial savings in cryptocurrencies in 2017, and later diversified her assets into other investment classes, primarily stocks, ETFs, and precious metals.

During her studies, she expanded her knowledge of financial markets through books and by attending various seminars and conferences in the field of finance.

After successfully completing her Master's degree in Quantitative Finance and Actuarial Science, receiving the Prešeren Award for her Master's thesis, and an invitation to the Beta Gamma Sigma association as recognition for achieving excellent academic results, she began her professional career at Triglav Insurance Company as an independent actuary in the Strategic Analysis and Property Insurance Development Department. She is an associate member of the Slovenian Actuarial Society and possesses in-depth knowledge of the composition of all types of insurance policies.

My desire for a deeper understanding of financial markets and to work in a more dynamic, international environment then led me to CM-Equity AG in Munich, where I applied mathematical and quantitative knowledge to the daily practice of financial market analysis. I participated in finding correlations, developing analytical models for predicting market movements, managing risks, and designing portfolios and strategies. In doing so, I received mentorship from licensed asset managers and was directly involved in active management processes.

In 2024, I decided to pursue an independent path and founded the Financial Insights platform and became a professional partner of the Insajder.si platform. I believe that long-term investment advantage does not stem from mass solutions, but from discretion, an individual approach, proper structure, oversight, and independence.
